Troy Michigan — November 4, 2025 — For four decades, Schrader, the aftermarket brand of Sensata Technologies and the global pioneer in tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) has defined the industry through continuous innovation. To mark this 40-year milestone, Schrader is unveiling a new logo and showcasing its latest TPMS solutions at AAPEX and SEMA 2025 in Las Vegas, November 4-7.
“For 40 years, Schrader has set the standard for TPMS technology, driving safety and efficiency across the industry,” said Kelly Sadler, VP and General Manager of the Aftermarket Business at Sensata Technologies. “As vehicles and safety needs evolve, Schrader continues to deliver intelligent, reliable TPMS solutions that shape the future of mobility. At AAPEX and SEMA, we’re proud to celebrate our legacy with the introduction of our new logo and share how our history drives our vision for the future.”

A Legacy of Firsts in Tire Safety
Schrader introduced the world’s first TPMS system in 1985, quickly earning adoption by leading OEMs and helping drive U.S. legislation requiring TPMS in all passenger cars by 2008. Today, Schrader’s direct TPMS technology equips hundreds of millions of vehicles worldwide, with more than half of the global OEM platforms relying on Schrader’s systems.
Building on this legacy of first, Schrader also pioneered the introduction of the first universal TPMS sensor – EZ-sensor®, enabling tire shops to streamline operations and serve a broader range of vehicles using single SKU, highlighting Schrader’s ongoing commitment to practical innovation.
“Our ability to innovate when the market faces discontinuities and customers have unmet needs is core to Schrader’s DNA. When TPMS moved from a ‘nice-to-have’ to a safety imperative, we responded with the breakthrough solution EZ-sensor®, which simplified service and accelerated TPMS adoption for workshops. This purpose-built approach, designing products specifically for
Aftermarket needs, has driven widespread adoption and supported Schrader’s success from the very beginning.” says Sadler.

Expanding Innovation: From Passenger Cars to Commercial Fleets
Schrader’s influence reaches far beyond passenger vehicles. The European Union’s 2022 TPMS mandate for heavy-duty vehicles marks a global shift toward enhanced safety and efficiency. Schrader recognizes the critical need for tire safety in heavy-duty fleets and continues to advocate for industry advancement.
“As an industry leader, we believe that tire safety is even more critical for heavy-duty fleets” said Kelly Sadler, VP and General Manager of the Aftermarket Business at Sensata Technologies. “That’s why in 2025, Schrader expanded its portfolio with new Heavy-Duty TPMS sensors developed to support leading truck and bus brands, including Kenworth, Peterbilt, Prevost, Volvo, and Scania. These solutions are designed to meet the evolving demands of commercial fleets across North America.”

Next Evolution: TPMS Technology for Retrofitting Vehicles
While TPMS comes standard with new cars, millions of older or specialty vehicles still lack this essential safety feature. To c
lose that gap, Schrader developed and launched earlier this year AirCheck BLE, a universal retrofit kit that delivers OEM-grade tire monitoring for previously unserved segments such as towable trailers, RVs, motorhomes, off-road vehicles and other vehicles without factory-installed or direct TPMS.
“With AirCheck BLE, we’re significantly expanding tire shops’ ability to service a wider range of vehicle types,” Sadler explained. “We’re bringing modern TPMS technology and all its benefits including enhanced safety, improved fuel economy, better vehicle handling, and reduced tire wear to vehicles that have never had access to these perks before.”
